Our Founding Members
Waves CA was co-founded by two clinicians who have experienced both the connection of group practice and the isolation of working independently. Waves grew from a shared desire to create a values-aligned space for consultation, collaboration, and community, without compromising clinical judgment or professional autonomy.
About Janelle
Janelle is a psychotherapist located in Downtown, Los Angeles. As a practitioner of arts, athletics, and humanistic sciences, Janelle offers psychotherapy to residential adults of California.
About Jenna
Jenna is a psychotherapist based in Los Angeles, integrating clinical social work with community-focused practice and psychospiritual exploration. She offers psychotherapy to adults in California and Washington.

Our Shared Ethos
We value an egalitarian relationship between practitioners and clients to support the enhancement of mental wellness. Practitioners assume a strengths-based approach, supporting the integrity of personhood and unique cultural identity of our clients. We aim to establish a comprehensive understanding of the many factors that are impacting mental health functioning, considerate of physical, social, cultural, and other environmental factors. Our interventions are informed by evidence-based practices to increase client self-awareness, self-agency, and alleviation of suffering. In this current environment of unpredictable and rapid change, we aim to provide stability, promote resilience, and empower. With maintenance of client confidentiality, collaboration between providers aims to ensure our ethical, informed, and consistent quality of care.
In addition, Waves CA expects that every practitioner assumes responsibility to meet any and all requirements to maintain licensure as outlined by his/her/their respective licensing board, as well as to follow the legal and ethical guidelines and standards that are outlined by the licensing boards and other relevant professional organizations
